Tami Seavoy recently presented the "Nonprofit Corporations" segment of the 2009 George A. Gustafson Accounting and Finance CPE Seminar Series at the Northern Michigan University College of Business. Tami offered a lawyer's perspective of the basic steps to establish a nonprofit corporation, obtain tax exempt status, register as a charitable trust, and maintain that status. The George A. Gustafson Accounting and Finance CPE Seminar Series provides Continuing Professional Education (CPE) programs that fulfill applicable continuing education requirements for accountants and auditors.
